I was raised here in Soldotna, Alaska for most of my childhood. Fishing, hunting, learning about anything and church were my favorite things growing up. We had a bit of a rough childhood at times but my mother always made sure we had what we needed.

I started early in addiction. I was running with gangs at a young age. I was in trouble most my life. I ended up kicked out of school more times than I remember. So I went to college instead of high school. My addictions blew up for a number of years after that. I had a few years where I pretended to be clean but I’d go to work and I’d spend thousands on drugs and booze. Eventually it led to destroying my perfect family life at home. I tried everything: changed careers, quit working and spent more time with my family, tried moving. Nothing helped. I ended up homeless living in my broke down truck for a very long time in the worst neighborhood for a hundred miles in every direction. I robbed, stole, hurt people and even hurt my family.

Eventually I found myself in prison with over 130 total prior charges and 34 prior convictions, 2 of which were felonies. During that time I had access to nearly any book I could possibly want. I got an interest in my own addiction and started reading every book, textbook, article, scientific article I could find or have sent in. I did 3 12-step programs, a 10-step program and a 4-step program as well as every bit of cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy just to learn more about them and myself it turned out. That’s when I came up for this idea of AAAA.

On August 19, 2020 I gave my life to Christ while in solitary. Miraculously I was released a few short days after that into a sober living home called Set Free Ministries. Since I gave my life to Christ I have been on the most unbelievable adventure. Today my passion is helping others and networking with all the resources I can learn about to help people recover and get the resources they need to be fully rehabilitated.
